Procedure 01

Tooth Extraction

Any tooth which does not erupt in the mouth due to lack of space is called an impacted tooth. Oral complications such as infections, crowding, or diseased tissue may develop if teeth don't emerge from the gums as they should. These complications can be prevented or effectively managed with a timely tooth extraction.

Teeth that are mobile and have no remaining bone support must also be extracted — as they can compromise the health of surrounding teeth. Our dental surgeon will monitor your mouth and recommend extraction whenever necessary to preserve your mouth's full integrity.

🦠 Severely decayed or infected teeth
🔄 Crowded or misaligned teeth
💔 Broken or fractured below gumline
🦷 Mobile teeth with no bone support
😷 Abscessed teeth unresponsive to RCT
🧲 Pre-orthodontic extractions

Procedure 02

Wisdom Teeth Removal

Third molars — commonly known as wisdom teeth — are the most frequently extracted teeth because the majority of individuals don't have jaws large enough to accommodate them. Impacted wisdom teeth that don't grow properly can result in swelling, infections, crowding, and shifting of other teeth.

This is a minor surgical procedure undertaken only after proper planning and examination, including radiographs of the jaw bones. Depending on the position of the wisdom molars, one or all four wisdom teeth may be advised for removal.

😖 Pain or swelling at the back of the jaw
😤 Recurrent gum infections around the tooth
🔀 Pushing and crowding other teeth
🦠 Partial eruption with food trapping
📐 Impacted tooth visible on X-ray
😷 Cyst formation around impacted tooth

Advanced Procedures

Other Oral Surgical Services

Complex surgical needs require expert hands. Here is how we help with advanced cases.

🦴
Advanced

Bone Grafting

When the jawbone lacks adequate volume or density to support dental implants — or to correct defects caused by gum disease, tooth loss, or trauma — our surgeon performs a bone graft. Bone graft material (natural or synthetic) is placed to stimulate new bone growth, creating a stable foundation for implants.

  • Supports newly placed implants
  • Corrects ridge defects post-extraction
  • Treats defects from gum disease
  • Enables implants where bone was lost
🏗️
Restorative

Dental Implant Surgery

Dental implants are titanium root substitutes surgically placed in the jawbone. They serve as a stable, long-term foundation for crowns, bridges, or full-arch dentures. Implants look, feel, and function like natural teeth and are the gold standard for replacing missing teeth.

  • Replace one or multiple teeth
  • Full-arch rehabilitation (All-on-4)
  • Permanent and natural-looking
  • Preserves jawbone after tooth loss
🩺
Corrective

Orthognathic (Jaw) Surgery

Corrective jaw surgery improves the function and alignment of the jaw and teeth when orthodontic treatment alone is insufficient. It addresses issues with chewing, speaking, and breathing — and is always planned in coordination with an orthodontic treatment plan.

  • Corrects jaw misalignment
  • Improves bite, chewing & speech
  • Often combined with braces/Invisalign
  • Planned with detailed 3D imaging
🚑
Trauma

Jaw Fracture & Facial Trauma

Accidents, sports injuries, or trauma to the face can result in jaw fractures requiring surgical repair. Our oral surgeon is trained to assess, diagnose, and surgically correct jaw fractures — restoring function and facial structure with precision.

  • Surgical repair of jaw fractures
  • Management of facial injuries
  • Restoration of bite and jaw function
  • Coordinated with medical team if needed
🔬
Pathology

Oral Cysts & Tumour Management

Cysts and pathological lesions originating from the teeth, gums, or jaw require careful surgical intervention. We perform biopsy, excision, and follow-up to ensure complete resolution and rule out more serious conditions.

  • Surgical excision of oral cysts
  • Biopsy and histopathology referral
  • Management of jaw tumours
  • Regular post-op monitoring
💉
Infection

Dental Abscess & Oral Infections

Severe oral infections that do not respond to antibiotics may require surgical drainage. Our team treats dental abscesses and spreading infections promptly to eliminate pain and prevent life-threatening complications.

  • Incision & drainage of abscesses
  • Antibiotic therapy + surgical care
  • Removal of infection source
  • Emergency same-day appointments

⚠️ Things to Keep in Mind

  • ! Some swelling or discomfort is expected post-surgery — typically resolves in a few days
  • ! Soft diet and rest recommended for 24–72 hours following most procedures
  • ! Complex cases (e.g., impacted wisdom teeth) may require 5–7 days' recovery
  • ! Follow all aftercare instructions carefully to prevent dry socket or infection
  • ! Complete the prescribed antibiotic and pain relief course as directed
  • ! Attend all follow-up appointments to ensure proper healing

Recovery Made Easy

Post-Operative Aftercare

Following your surgeon's instructions is the single most important factor in a smooth, complication-free recovery.

🧊

Apply Ice Packs

Apply an ice pack to your cheek in 20-minute intervals for the first 24 hours to reduce swelling and discomfort.

🥣

Eat Soft Foods

Stick to soft, cool, non-irritating foods — yoghurt, mashed potatoes, soups. Avoid hard, crunchy, or very hot foods.

🚫

No Smoking

Avoid smoking for at least 48–72 hours. Smoking dramatically increases the risk of dry socket and delayed healing.

💊

Take Medications

Take all prescribed antibiotics and pain relievers as instructed — even if you feel well. Complete the full course.

🪥

Gentle Oral Hygiene

After 24 hours, rinse gently with warm salt water after meals. Avoid vigorous brushing near the surgical site.

📅

Attend Follow-Ups

Return for all scheduled check-up appointments so your surgeon can confirm proper healing and remove any sutures.

Got Questions?

Frequently Asked Questions

Modern local anaesthesia ensures the procedure itself is pain-free. Some soreness and swelling are expected after the anaesthesia wears off, but prescribed pain relief manages this effectively. Most patients are surprised by how comfortable the experience is.

Simple extractions typically heal within 3–5 days. Wisdom tooth removal or bone grafting may require 5–10 days before normal eating and activity resumes. Complex jaw surgery may need several weeks. Your surgeon will give you a personalised recovery timeline.

If your wisdom teeth are causing pain, swelling, infection, crowding of other teeth, or are identified as impacted on an X-ray — extraction is strongly advised. Early removal (late teens to early 20s) tends to result in simpler procedures and faster healing.

Dry socket occurs when the blood clot at the extraction site is dislodged before the wound heals. To prevent it: avoid smoking, do not suck through straws, do not spit forcefully, and follow all aftercare instructions provided by your surgeon.

Not always. Bone grafting is only required if the jawbone is too thin, too short, or lacks adequate density to support an implant. Your dentist will assess this using X-rays or a CBCT scan at your consultation.

Most oral surgical procedures are performed under local anaesthesia — you are awake but completely numb. For complex or anxiety-inducing procedures, conscious sedation may be offered. General anaesthesia is reserved for hospital-based cases.

Typically, implants are placed 3–6 months after extraction to allow the socket to heal. However, in some cases, immediate or early implant placement is possible. Your surgeon will advise based on your specific situation.

You should stick to soft, cool foods for the first 24–72 hours — avoiding anything hard, crunchy, hot, or spicy. Most patients return to a normal diet within a week, depending on the complexity of the procedure.
